01

Organizational issues

How can I apply for an advertised position?

Either you click on one of the “Apply now” buttons in the job posting or send us an email. To make things as easy as possible for you, we only need your complete resume at the beginning, ideally as a PDF. We also ask you to fill out the online form. If you apply via email, simply write the answers in the email.

How does the application process work?

After you have sent us your application documents, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.

Your documents will then be reviewed as quickly as possible by our HRE team and an initial pre-selection will be made. If we have any questions, we will contact you. If the first impression is right, we will arrange a personal meeting or a telephone interview with you. By e-mail, we will send you a specific date for the interview and directions. If you were able to convince us of yourself in person for the first time, you will receive an invitation to a second interview, usually with the respective specialist department. For software developers, this takes place in the form of a coding dojo followed by a code review. If we were able to convince you and you, you will receive your personal contract offer in advance by e-mail!

If we are unfortunately unable to offer you a suitable position at the moment, you will receive a written rejection by e-mail from us as soon as we have reviewed your application documents.

You can find more information at Your start at generic.

Which documents should be included with the online application and in which format?

To make things as easy as possible for you, we only need your complete resume at the beginning, ideally as a PDF.

Can I apply for multiple jobs?

We always check all incoming applications for all current vacancies on generic.de, should the desired position not be possible. If you find several job offers interesting, feel free to note this in a cover letter and we will review your request accordingly. However, please only send us your resume once.

There is no position here that matches my experience. Can I still apply on my own initiative?

Very happy! Simply fill out the online initiative application and upload your resume as a PDF. And who knows: maybe we're looking for you right now!

How does the first personal conversation work and who takes part in it?

You will have the first appointment with our HRE team. Whether by telephone or in person, it will primarily be about personal impressions and getting to know each other. You'll get a first insight into generic.de AG as a company and how we work, and then you'll know a bit better who we are and what makes us tick.

How does the second appointment work?

In the second appointment, you will get to know your supervisor and a few colleagues from the relevant department. This is about your professional skills. As a software developer, you take part in a coding dojo. You get a task and write your own code. This is then discussed in a review with an experienced software developer from our team.

How is my personal data stored and used in the system?

We store and use your data exclusively for the application process. After 6 months, they are automatically and completely deleted. If your profile convinces us, but we are currently unable to offer you a vacancy, we will ask you in writing whether we can store your data for a longer period of time. If you agree, you can of course withdraw this at any time.

Can I have my data removed from the system if I'm no longer interested in working with me?

Yes, sure! You can delete your data at any time. Just send us an email to jobs@generic.de. After successful deletion, you will immediately receive a confirmation email from us. You can find more information here: https://www.generic.de/datenschutz

Will I be taken on after my training?
