Our colleague Yvonne Spitznagel was an instructor at this year's Informatica Feminale in Bremen. On August 31st, she held a one-day workshop on software development with Flow Design: structuring requirements, cleanly separating logic and data, and developing testable designs as a team. Practical and hands-on – for developers and anyone looking to improve software quality.

As part of the "Prompt Results" event series by BNN and CyberForum, our Innovation Manager, Artur Felic, used everyday examples to show why traditional prompting is no longer a recipe for success. The focus was on what AI agents truly need today to move from simply answering questions to working autonomously: access to the right data, the right tools, and a well-designed work environment.

The AI & Software Summit 2026, hosted by United Innovations, focused on the latest developments in artificial intelligence and enterprise software. Our CTO, Sebastian Betzin, moderated the panel The Impact of AI on the Enterprise Software of Tomorrow as well as the roundtable Solutions for Avoiding Debt Traps in the Age of AI.

At the KI-READY Summit 2026 in Nürtingen, we teamed up with our client, Schöck Bauteile GmbH, to provide practical insights into integrating AI into existing system landscapes. Using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and real-world project experience, our Innovation Manager, Artur Felic, demonstrated how companies can incrementally incorporate AI features into their IT infrastructure.

The "Activity is Not Leadership!" meetup explored the theory and practice of leadership in organizations, featuring insights, exchanges, and discussions on what defines good leadership, which models and tools are effective, and how to overcome everyday leadership challenges. The deep talk was moderated by Daniel Hommel and provided ample space for interaction and collaborative learning.

At our Usability Testessen #15 event, developers, UX designers, and curious testers came together to evaluate the usability of prototypes, websites, apps, bots, AI applications, and concepts. In a relaxed atmosphere with pizza, drinks, and networking, participants gained valuable feedback, fresh insights, and plenty of "aha" moments.

At the event hosted in partnership with Allianz Industrie 4.0, we provided practical insights into the use of AI agents and demonstrated how these technologies can unlock efficiency potential through concrete use cases. In interactive workshops, participants developed strategies for getting started, gained hands-on know-how regarding AI agents, and explored useful approaches for human-AI collaboration.

At the TECH.minds @TPK event in the Karlsruhe Technology Park, experts provided practical insights into the world of Agentic AI and demonstrated how AI agents can efficiently support document-intensive processes. Our Innovation Manager, Artur, gave a hands-on demonstration of how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) serves as a standardized interface to enable a true plug-and-play approach for AI agents, and how they can be securely provided with tools, data sources, and context in real-world scenarios.

Together with IMS Verbindungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, we were honored at the Startup the Future event with the Allianz Industrie 4.0 Award Baden-Württemberg 2025 for the development of the SaaS platform Digital Inventory Services (DIS) – an innovative solution for digital inventory and on-demand management in industrial supply chains.

At the Future of Industrial Usability Conference & Expo in Würzburg, our measurement software PHIL, developed in collaboration with Philipp Hafner GmbH & Co. KG, was honored with the IUX Award 2025 – a solution that stands out for its strong user-centricity, modularity, and modern technology in the field of production metrology.

Together with our partner Novazoon, we hosted the Industry Meet-Up 2025 at Frameworx Stuttgart – featuring practical insights into digital transformation in the industry, inspiring presentations, and opportunities for personal exchange and networking.

The German UPA regional group hosted an exchange of experiences at our office, featuring a keynote on the topic: "UX and agile software development – how do they work well together?"

At BASTA! 2025, our colleagues Joshua and Artur gave an exciting presentation on the use of AI and LLMs in software development and connected with many interested attendees.

We are excited to breathe new life into the Usability Chapter Karlsruhe of the German UPA! On December 11, it was time for all UX enthusiasts to get back together: the regional group hosted an exchange of experiences featuring an introductory talk at our office.

Our Head of UX, Uwe, demonstrated what we believe is necessary to make software development sustainable by avoiding both UX debt and technical debt simultaneously.

Florian Fassnacht gave a presentation on questioning one's own perceptions to minimize misunderstandings. He explained how this leads to new, unexpected insights and discoveries, especially during retrospectives and in stakeholder management.

In 2024, our colleague Dorothea once again taught a course at informatica feminale. This time, the half-week course was titled "Learning Together in a Coding Dojo."

For the 13th time, CyberForum searched for the "regional IT soccer champion." We were there again and took fourth place.

Agile Lean Karlsruhe is an open space event by the agile community for the agile community. We were an official gold sponsor and were represented by eight of our colleagues.

The “Dreamer” barcamp explored the questions of how UX can be better established in companies and how to better communicate the benefits of UX. Our Head of UX Uwe took part in the panel discussion and was available to answer any questions.

Usability in an industrial context is given a stage. And that's exactly where our CTO Sebastian and our Head of UX Uwe spoke this year with their presentation “Modern Software Development — Debt Traps.”

Appropriately, our CTO Sebastian Betzin and our Head of UX Uwe Betzin addressed the question of how you have to develop software today in order to make it a sustainable success.

As part of this year's summer school, our colleagues Dorothea and Yvonne gave an exciting half-week course on the topic: Code Camp C#: Crack the Nut with TDD - Test-Driven Software Development in Practice Testing.

We were there: at the recruiting event for all UX and usability enthusiasts. On May 11, the job fair took place virtually on a Miro board.

At the start of the event, Moritz Pastow from LEWA and our agile coach René Paschold gave a practical presentation about our joint project.

In November, we went back to the HKB at Furtwangen University. Our colleague and Clean Code Ambassador Thomas Bittner gave an exciting presentation on the topic of “Sustainable software development with clean code.”

On all three days, colleagues from HRE and software development stood by at our virtual exhibition stand and had exciting discussions with students and alumni from KIT.
